Reports that Jennifer Lopez is scared of setting foot in the Big Apple are apparently untrue. Her arrival in Manhattan Thursday night should serve as ample proof otherwise. The New York Post reports that the Bronx-born beauty, 31, arrived from Miami to attend a party hosted by her fashion-designer pal, Donatella Versace (at whose Italian villa J.Lo used as a honeymoon hideaway after she married dancer Cris Judd on Sept. 28). Stories had circulated after the Sept. 11 collapse of the World Trade Center towers that Lopez became so frightened of New York that she refused to come to town to promote her new fashion line for full-figured women at Macy's department store, adjacent to the Empire State Building. The official line from J.Lo's representatives was that she was still on her honeymoon. But on Thursday, reportedly clutching Judd's hand, she marched right into an Upper East Side bistro, where Versace was celebrating the conclusion of a fashion show. "I'm not scared to be in New York," the Post quotes Lopez as saying. "Can't we just have a honeymoon?" Her final words to the reporter: "I love New York."
