Big Quotes, Small Sales from Jagger

British newspapers are agog that Mick Jagger's new album, "Goddess in the Doorway," sold a mere 954 copies on its first day in the stores. By comparison, Robbie Williams's new album, "Swing While You're Winning," sold 73,000 copies the same day. A gossip staple since 1965, Jagger, 58, has been publicity shy in recent years, but has granted a number of interviews recently to generate interest in his fourth solo album. His band the Rolling Stones have 25 platinum albums and 38 gold albums. In an interview with ABC's Elizabeth Vargas, Jagger preferred to talk about less commercial topics. "In our society, we're supposed to be monogamous, but we're not," he said. "In other societies, you don't have to be monogamous, and we're all human beings, so supposedly we've evolved all these different systems for dealing with this. It's very odd, the relationship that men have with women. After all this time, (men) like to find women mysterious." As for the more ethereal side of life, Jagger admitted, "I have mystic overtones. I think everyone has a spiritual side, but I'm not a very church-going, sort of regular religious person."
