RELEASED: Rodney Dangerfield, 80, was sent home from the hospital Wednesday without undergoing surgery following a mild heart attack last week, the "I don't get no respect" comedian's publicist said. He was reported to be in good health, and doctors said the heart attack would not affect his plans for stage performances in California and Las Vegas early next year . . . HONORED: Sun Valley Resort in Idaho is renaming its "Flying Maid" ski run "Arnold's Run" after Arnold Schwarzenegger, 54, who owns a home nearby and has led the Christmas Eve torchlight parade down the mountain for several years. Previously, the only runs named for people have gone to three of Sun Valley's Olympic medalists: Gretchen Fraser, Christin Cooper and Picabo Street; and former resort owner Bill Janss . . . HOSPITALIZED: Veteran country musician Charlie Daniels, 65, best known for the hit song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," has undergone successful prostate cancer surgery in a Nashville hospital and is expected to recover fully, according to a statement released by his publicist . . . SENTENCED: Country singer Trace Adkins ("Every Light in the House"), 39, was ordered to serve two days in jail and to refrain from driving for a year after pleading guilty to drunken driving in a Tennessee courtroom this week. Adkins also admitted that he violated the open container law and was speeding when a police officer pulled him over in early July . . . FILED: Queen of soul Aretha Franklin, 59, slapped a $50 million lawsuit against the Star supermarket tabloid on Wednesday, claiming she was defamed by a December 2000 article that alleged she abused alcohol. Her lawyer, Barry Langberg, says the tabloid printed a retraction, "but it just exacerbated the original article."
