General audiences will have to wait until Dec. 19 for the release of "Lord of the Rings," but the film's stars came out Monday night for the premiere in London, Reuters reported. Sir Ian McKellen, who plays the wizard Galdalf, told Reuters: "All members of the cast have got a tattoo. When we had it done in a tattoo parlor in Wellington, New Zealand, we all swore never to tell anyone." So much for the vow of silence. The cast, gathered at London's Odeon Cinema, effused over the film and director Peter Jackson. "When I read the book and the script I really longed to be part of this movie," Liv Tyler, who plays the elf-maiden Arwen Undomiel, told Reuters. "We had a lot of fun and we had a lot of work." Jackson added: "I'll be relieved to have people finally see the film because it has been the buzz on the Internet, there have been spies (on the set); it has been gossip and rumor for three years now."
