PLEAD GUILTY: Scott Weiland, 38, lead singer of the Stone Temple Pilots, entered a guilty plea in a Las Vegas court on Wednesday to charges of spousal abuse. On November 19, reports the Associated Press, the rock star was arrested in his room at the Hard Rock Hotel for fighting with his wife, Mary, in front of the couple's 18-month-old son. Weiland has a history of drug abuse. If he stays out of trouble for the next six months and completes 26 counseling sessions, the case will be dismissed. . . . INNOCENT?: Action movie star Steven Seagal, 50, denied sexual harassment charges on Wednesday in a Los Angeles court, reports Reuters. Patricia Nichols has claimed that the martial artist made "inappropriate comments and actions toward her" during a 1999 music recording session, but he called the accusation a "fabrication" and said that he is "being shaken down" by the claimant....RECOVERING: Chick Hearn, 85, the announcer for the Los Angeles Lakers, had heart surgery on Wednesday in Los Angeles, reports Variety. The sportscaster hasn't missed one of the 3,338 Laker games he has broadcast over a 36-year period. He is expected to make a full recovery.
