PASSAGES: Rodman Busted for Bar Hours

ARRESTED: Basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman, 40, was taken into custody early Saturday on suspicion of obstructing and delaying officers investigating a possible code violation at his seaside restaurant. Newport Beach police Sgt. Neal Harvey said Rodman violated a Business and Profession Code, which restricts the hours of alcohol beverage service after 2 a.m. Rodman was released shortly after being booked. The case is being reviewed . . . ILL: Doctors amputated the left foot of country singer Waylon Jennings ("Mamas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys"), 64, on Dec. 19, because of an infection related to diabetes, his spokeswoman announced over the past weekend. The star was forced to postpone two Arizona concerts in early November after undergoing surgery to improve circulation in one of his legs . . . WED: Westlife star Bryan McFadden, 21, married former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona, age unreported, in London on Saturday. Press reports said the ceremony occurred at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in the village of Rathreigh, near Dublin. It was reportedly followed by a reception at nearby Slane Castle . . . BOUGHT: Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant, 23, has purchased a $4 million home in California's exclusive Newport Coast neighborhood. He and his wife, Vanessa, also own a home in Los Angeles and Pacific Palisades. In 1999, Bryant signed a six-year, $71 million contract with his team . . . APOLOGIZED: "Band of Brothers" author and historian Stephen Ambrose, acknowledging that sentences and phrases in his new book "The Wild Blue" were lifted from the 1995 "The Wings of Morning" by historian Thomas Childers, issued a statement Saturday through his publisher, Simon & Schuster. He said, in part: "I made a mistake for which I am sorry. It will be corrected in future editions of the book" . . . RETIRED: French fashion legend Yves Saint Laurent, 65, announced his retirement at a Paris press conference Monday morning. He gave no cause for his decision, which had been expected. After 40 years n the business, YSL of late has been suffering with ill health and depression.
