Aniston's Jaguar Broadsided in Hollywood
Jennifer Aniston apparently is okay, despite some pain in her back and neck, following a 10:30 a.m. car crash Tuesday. Aniston's 2000 Jaguar was broadsided as the "Friends" star, 32, drove through a Hollywood residential area, Officer Ed Funes told the Associated Press. According to Reuters, the accident occurred when a Volkswagen apparently backed out of a driveway and into Aniston's car. "It was her prerogative not to go (to the hospital)," Funes said. "She was seeking her own medical attention." The New York Post reports that Aniston phoned her husband, Brad Pitt, 38, to assure him that she was fine, then spoke to police before driving away on her own. An ambulance had been called to the crash scene, said the AP, but the actress declined treatment. The identity and condition of the driver of the other car have not been reported. Police said no charges would be filed. Given the traffic in the area -- the incident took place near Sunset Boulevard -- Aniston was lucky the collision was as minor as it was. "There have been a number of serious accidents in this neighborhood," a witness told the Post. "It's a busy street, and she was very fortunate there wasn't somebody right on top of her." This wasn't the first car crash to involve a star from the hit NBC sitcom. Two years ago, Matthew Perry, now 32, lost control of his Porsche, which ended up on the porch of a Hollywood Hills home. Last April, the actor suffered minor injuries when another driver banged into his BMW.
