Elle Macpherson's Second Marriage Set
Supermodel Elle "The Body" Macpherson, 37, will marry for the second time after becoming engaged to her partner of six years, French-Swiss financier Arpad Busson, 38, it was reported in Australian newspapers Friday. The confirmation of the impending nuptials by Macpherson's manager follows news photographs that appeared this week when she showed up at fashion lensman Mario Testino's photography exhibit at London's National Portrait Gallery sporting a large engagement ring. The manager, Stewart Cameron, said that the couple became engaged while on vacation in the Bahamas on Jan. 9. As yet, no wedding date has been set. Cameron also flatly rejected the persistent rumors that Macpherson was pregnant again. The couple already has one son, Flynn, who turns four this month, and the model told an Australian interviewer last year that she would love to have more children. As PEOPLE has reported, the Sydney, Australia-raised beauty (who uses England as a homebase) began dating Busson, known as "Arki," in 1996 and they share a lavish four-story Georgian house in a leafy London suburb. Neighbors often spot a sweatsuit-clad Macpherson and her son playing in a nearby park, though she is far from being homebound: She jets around the world to hang with such high-profile pals as Gwyneth Paltrow, model Naomi Campbell and Princess Caroline of Monaco. Born Eleanor Gow, Macpherson was married previously to photographer Gilles Bensimon, who was 20 years older than she was. Macpherson was a bride at age 20, and divorced three years later.
