It has been a big week for hip-hop queen Mary J. Blige. Not only will the 31-year-old sing this Sunday at Super Bowl XXXVI, but she also is planning to get married, she told New York's Daily News, though she wants to keep the actual details of the wedding, including when it will take place, out of the press. Blige also remained mum about the identity of the future groom, but the Daily News discovered that the lucky guy is Martin (Kendu) Isaacs, age unreported, a former musical director for Queen Latifah. The couple has been dating for more than a year. The Associated Press says that they became engaged over the holidays. It will be her first marriage (after suffering through a series of boyfriends she termed abusive), and Isaacs "loves me more than I've ever been loved before," Blige told the News, adding, "The industry is not going to know about" the wedding. "The press is not going to know about it." As for the Super Bowl gig, she was a bit more expansive. "There's a lot of people who don't know who Mary J. Blige is, and that's why I'm so thankful," she said to the AP, referring to herself in the third person. "They're helping me to be introduced into another world, another group of people." The Bronx native, who never finished high school, also sang at the event last year. More recently, Blige has re-released her latest platinum-selling disc, "No More Drama" (this week, in fact), and it contains new songs, including a P. Diddy remix of the song "No More Drama." The effort marks the first time the two have collaborated since he produced her first two discs, 1992's "What's the 411" and 1994's "My Life."
