The youngest Backstreet Boy, 21-year-old Nick Carter, was arrested early Wednesday in Tampa, Fla., on suspicion of refusing to follow police orders to vacate the nightclub Pop City after a brawl broke out inside, reports the Associated Press. "The defendant was told to leave over 10 times," a Tampa police report states. "(He) continued the argument and would not leave and was arrested without incident." Carter, charged with a misdemeanor count of resisting and opposing a law enforcement officer without violence, was handcuffed, put in a police car and released on his own recognizance. His court date is set for March 4. According to postings on the Web site for Tampa radio station WFLZ, clubgoers allege that Carter was drinking and acting rowdy. "Outside of who this defendant is, it's not that unusual a thing to happen," Tampa Police spokesman Joe Durkin told the AP, referring to the behavior in the bar. Carter lives near Tampa. His younger siblings, Aaron and Leslie, are also popular singers. And he is not the only Backstreet Boy to get into trouble. In July, A.J. McLean, 23, checked into rehab for depression and alcohol abuse, forcing a postponement of the group's North American tour. McLean claims to have been sober ever since.
