A Holiday Letter from Britney's Mom
Lynne Spears posts a holiday message on her daughter's Web site in which she brings fans up to date on how her family spent New Year's.

Lynne Spears, Britney's mom, has taken pen to paper -- or fingers to keyboard, actually -- and composed a holiday letter that has been posted on her daughter's Web site. Best of all, the message not only tells of Christmas in the Spears's household ("Another Christmas holiday season has come and gone," Lynne writes. "Touring beforehand with Britney made it fly by even faster"), it also fills fans in on how the family rang in 2002. Lynne says New Year's Eve "was fun" for two of her children (she has three): Britney, 20, and Bryan, 24. (Another daughter, Jamie Lynn, is 11). "They threw a great party in the Village section of New York." That would be Greenwich Village. "Friends and family from home came for the celebration," Lynne goes on to say. "I decided to stay home." Still, she says, "The best part of the night was when Britney and Bryan called from their party to wish me Happy New Year. I felt so flattered to be called at the 'bewitching' hour. Nothing can touch that!" As for 2002, says Lynne, "It is back to work as usual. Britney has to start rehearsing for the (American Music Awards). Bryan is back at work in New York. Jamie Lynn is singing, dancing, playing basketball and going to school. It is hard getting back in the swing of things."
