ANNOUNCED: Nicole Kidman, 34, intends to move to London next year with her two children, she told the Melbourne Age newspaper. The Australian actress wants to relocate from L.A. once she completes several movies. "The children love being in London," she said, "and the schools are good." She and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, 39, share custody . . . PLANNED: Dixie Chicks, Billy Joel, Sheryl Crow and Weezer, among others, are demanding more flexible contracts, health benefits and pension rights for musicians, so on Feb. 26, the night before the Grammys, in L.A., they plan to hold fund-raising concerts for the Recording Artists Coalition, reports The Washington Post. Monies raised will be used to launch a series of legal assaults on the recording industry, says The Post . . . ILL: Carol Channing, who turns 81 on Thursday, was admitted to a New York hospital Tuesday after becoming ill on arrival at ABC's "The View." The veteran "Hello, Dolly!" stage star was diagnosed with food poisoning, her spokesman said . . . WED: "Driven" actor CRISTIAN DE LA FUENTE, 27, one of PEOPLE's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World 2000," and model ANGELICA CASTRO, 29, were married on Jan. 5 in their hometown of Santiago, Chile. The couple, who reside in L.A., were childhood friends. It is the first marriage for both. Also hitched: KENNY LATTIMORE and R&B singer CHANTE MOORE, ages unreported, in a private ceremony in Jamaica (where he was performing) on New Year's Day, Lattimore's record label, Arista Records, said Tuesday . . . NAMED: Elton John, 54, will perform live at the 2002 NBA All-Star Game in Philadelphia on Feb. 10, organizers said. NBC will broadcast the heat. Among the hits he'll perform will be "Philadelphia Freedom," naturally . . . AXED: Fox TV's "The Chamber," a rival to ABC's similarly themed game show "The Chair," has been pulled from the network's primetime schedule in favor of sitcom repeats and movies, reports Reuters. Three remaining "Chamber" episodes will probably air this spring.
