Sean "P.Diddy" Combs made good on a promise to take care of his youngest son, 3-year-old Christian, on Tuesday after having been a no-show nine times in Manhattan Family Court over the past year, reports the New York Post and Daily News. (Because of the numerous delays caused by Combs, hearing examiner David Kirshblum had threatened to have him arrested if he failed to show by 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Combs showed up.) The hip-hop entrepreneur, 31, reached a custody and financial settlement with Kimberly Porter, the model who is the mother of Christian. Attorneys for both sides took until 5 p.m. to hammer out the agreement before the rap mogul appeared on the eighth floor of the courthouse, where he finally met Porter face-to-face and greeted her warmly. "Mr. Combs, welcome to Family Court. This is the first time I've seen you here," Kirshblum is quoted as saying by the Post. "Yeah," replied Diddy, "I got around to coming." Sounding contrite, Combs later told the jurist that he "meant no disrespect to this court or yourself" with his previous absences, reports the Post. The agreement, sealed by mutual consent of both Combs and Porter, calls for her to receive child support, health insurance and other necessities for Christian. Outside of the courtroom, Combs told reporters, according to the Post: "I have joint custody of Christian. (Porter and I) have always been friends. We just had to go through the proper process."
