SIGNED: Matthew Perry, 32, will perform double duty. The NBC "Friends" star is due to appear as a guest star on two upcoming April episodes of Fox's "Ally McBeal," reports Variety. PLANNED: Britain's Princess Margaret, who died last Saturday at the age of 71, has broken with royal tradition in death by choosing to be cremated, Buckingham Palace has announced. Reuters reports that the cremation will occur after the princess's funeral at Windsor Castle Friday . . . RATED: PEOPLE covergirl Greta Van Susteren, 47, on her new Fox News Channel show, handily beat CNN's Aaron Brown in her first week since quitting CNN for the competition, according to Nielsen Media Research. In the 7 p.m. hour last week, Van Susteren drew an average 999,000 viewers to Brown's 684,000 viewers . . . INDUCTED: Barry Manilow, 55, has earned a spot in the Songwriters Hall of Fame, which will conduct its 33rd annual induction and awards ceremony June 13 in New York, reports the Associated Press. Talents already announced as being honored this year include Sting, Michael Jackson, Randy Newman and Ashford & Simpson . . . NAMED: Surrey Spice Girl, 3, a perky miniature poodle, took Best in Show at the 126th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show at New York's Madison Square Garden Tuesday night. Spicy's mother was named to the same honor in 1994. The Tuesday victory was seen as an upset over Torum's Scarf Michael, a Kerry blue terrier already ranked No. 1 dog in America and the winner of Britain's biggest dog show. Go figure.
