ENGAGED: "Dawson's Creek" costars James Van Der Beek, 25, and Kerr Smith, 29, are getting married. No, not to each other. Van Der Beek, who plays moody Dawson Leery on the show, and "Party of Five" actress Heather McComb, also 25, have announced their engagement, says the New York Post, quoting his publicist. No date has been mentioned. Smith, who plays the openly gay Jack McPhee, also popped the question to Ali Hillis, of MTV's "Undressed," says the paper . . . RULED: Judge Bernard J. Kamins praised Paula Poundstone's progress Wednesday, easing the entertainer's probation terms in a child-endangerment case and allowing Poundstone, 42, to have non-monitored work days, reports the Associated Press.
