In the latest chapter of the Robert Blake case, the ex-"Baretta" star's daughter, Delinah Blake, 35, has been granted temporary custody of her half-sister, Rose Lenore Sophie Blake, who is nearly 2, reports Reuters. Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner H. Ronald Hauptman granted the elder Blake guardianship pending a hearing on permanent custody that has been set for July. Delinah, a college psychology instructor, has been caring for the child practically since Rose was born. Delinah Blake declined to comment outside court, but her attorney, Terry McNiff, told reporters that she was "very happy" with the arrangement, saying that it was in keeping with the wishes of Robert Blake, Reuters reports. Delinah has stood by her father throughout the ordeal, which stems from the May 4, 2001 killing of Blake's wife and Rose's mother, Bonny Lee Bakley, who was gunned down in a parked car near a restaurant where the Blakes had just eaten dinner. Blake is currently being held without bail at the Los Angeles Men's Central Jail. According to Reuters, Hauptman also rejected requests by family members of Bakley to have authorities "study" Rose's living conditions and to limit her father to one-hour visits with the child under the supervision of an armed guard.
