Thrilling news for Jodie Foster: Her thriller, "Panic Room," stayed atop the box-office heap for the second week running, edging out the debut of "High Crimes," starring Ashley Judd and Morgan Freeman. So far, "Panic Room," in which Foster plays a single mother fighting intruders trying to get into a bunker-type room in her Manhattan brownstone, has now grossed $58.8 million and could make it to $100 million, say industry watchers. "High Crimes," which some critics considered just that (in it, Judd plays a lawyer defending her husband in military court against murder charges), did manage to bump "Ice Age" out of the No. 2 spot. Meanwhile, the new slapstick farce, "Big Trouble," based on a Dave Barry novel about a suitcase containing a nuclear bomb and starring Tim Allen, proved to be a bomb itself. The movie had been postponed from its original 2001 release date because producers feared its theme would upset moviegoers after Sept. 11, but audiences still aren't buying it. The Top 10 movies at the weekend box office, according to movie studio estimates, are as follows:
