'N Sync's Fatone to Hit Screens (Again)
'N Sync group member Joey Fatone, 25, finally has a movie that people may see, called "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," in which a young Greek-Canadian woman (Nia Vardalos, 39, who also wrote the script) falls in love with a non-Greek guy, much to the consternation of her family, reports the Associated Press. The movie also stars "Sex and the City"'s John Corbett. Fatone plays Angelo, a pal of the couple's, and the role follows Fatone's part in a movie released last year but which hardly anybody saw, the $10 million Miramax romantic comedy "On the Line." (Fellow 'N Sync-er Lance Bass costarred, as the lovelorn hero of the film who goes searching for a woman he only briefly spotted on a train). Still, Fatone is optimistic about this new feature, telling the AP that he enjoys moviemaking, even though, "obviously, 'N Sync comes first." He would also one day like a lead role, yet for now, he told the AP, "I'd love to do supporting roles. They always seem to be a lot less stressful." Quite possibly, 'N Sync plays a part in the new "Star Wars: Episode II -- Attack of the Clones." Fatone, however, says that as yet he's not sure whether he and the rest of the platinum pop group made it to the finished print. "I can't say anything else about it because I don't even know," he told the AP. "It's in the hands of George Lucas."
