Time was, celebrities moved out of America and over to London because the crime rate there was substantially lower. But no more, it seems. Burglars apparently broke into Australian supermodel Elle Macpherson's $3 million west London home in late May, Scotland Yard revealed on Monday, according to Reuters. Macpherson, 38, known as "The Body," shares the house, which is located in fashionable Notting Hill, with her longtime companion, Swiss banker Arpad Busson, and their son, Flynn, 4. "An investigation is being carried out by the Kensington and Chelsea police," a Yard police spokeswoman told the news service. "There have been no arrests and our inquiries are continuing. At the victim's request we cannot say what was taken." Nor would she say whether anyone was home at the time of the break-in. Meanwhile, Reuters goes on to report, Scotland Yard said it is not linking the crime to others in the area, including the burglary of the Notting Hill home of former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, 29, last March, during which the singer lost more than $120,000 worth of jewelry.
