MTV's first lady, Sharon Osbourne, the wife and manager of Ozzy Osbourne, on Wednesday is scheduled to undergo surgery for an unspecified type of cancer at an undisclosed location, the couple's publicist said in a statement. Reuters reports that the announcement went on to say that the costar of "The Osbournes" is expected to make a full recovery. "She has the loving support of her husband and three children who are by her side at this time," the statement said. The rep, Lisa Vega, told New York's Daily News, "The family is together. They will be with her through her surgery and recovery." Sharon Arden Osbourne, 50, is considered the backbone of the highly dysfunctional yet exceedingly watchable Osbourne family, and is credited with reviving her husband's career after he was booted out of the heavy-metal band Black Sabbath in 1979. The couple wed in Maui in 1982, and she has seen Ozzy, 53, through rehab, while he has seen her through a gastric bypass operation after which she dropped 90 pounds (from her once 224-lb. frame). They have three children: Aimee, born in 1983 (she did not participate in the MTV reality show); Kelly, born in 1984; and Jack, 1985. Sharon also oversees the highly popular annual Ozzfest rock festival. Reuters reports that the first two dates for this year's version -- July 6 in Bristow, Va., and July 7 in Pittsburgh, have been postponed, apparently because of Sharon's condition.
