Sharon Osbourne's Cancer Battle Goes On

Five days after her July 3 surgery to treat colorectal cancer, Sharon Osbourne's doctors told her that the disease had spread, PEOPLE reports in its latest cover story. "It was not the best news," Osbourne, 49, who will begin chemotherapy on July 29, told the magazine. But Ozzy and their children have rallied around Sharon, who plans to include footage of her chemotherapy treatments in the second season of the family's wildly popular MTV show, "The Osbournes." "We need to get a different vibe going," she said of the treatment facility. "I think I'll bring some music, introduce myself, maybe we can sing some songs and cheer the place up." Ever the matriarch, Osbourne -- who says her prognosis is "very, very good" -- has since insisted her family get back to its numerous projects; she sent Ozzy back on the road for his Ozzfest tour after he missed the first two dates. "You think nothing will ever happen to you. You're invincible," she told PEOPLE. "Then after you get over the shock and panic, you realize how lucky you are to be alive. That's where I'm at now. I simply have to take care of this thing."
