"The Sopranos" may not be back for its fourth season until September, but its star, James Gandolfini, is around. Gandolfini, 40, who plays New Jersey mob boss Tony Soprano on the hit HBO series (HBO, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner), has just filmed another commercial for the Rutgers football team in New Jersey, reports the Associated Press. It was his second such effort, even though his first one last year failed to change the team's fortunes. (The Scarlet Knights, who finished 2-9 in their first year under coach Greg Schiano, have taken only one Big East game in three seasons.) The new, 30-second ad, which features Gandolfini, a 1983 Rutgers graduate, and three of his college friends, will begin airing Monday of next week on cable stations in New Jersey, says the news service. In it, Gandolfini tells his pals they will have great seats for the game at Rutgers Stadium. "Close, real close," Gandolfini assures them before they step onto the field -- where they end up holding the costumes of the Scarlet Knight and his horse, the AP reports. Costarring with Gandolfini are his former college roommate Mark Ohlstein, as well as Vito Bellino and Tom Richardson. Behind the camera was someone of note too: Michael Imperioli, 36, who plays Christopher Moltisanti on "The Sopranos." He directed this year's commercial, just as he did last year's.
