BRITNEY SPEARED: Britney Spears, 20, was duped by a pair of Montreal radio comics, Marc Audette and Sebastien Trudel -- with Audette posing as Canadian diva Celine Dion, reports Reuters. Speaking to the pop princess in an on-air phone interview this week, Audette reportedly persuaded her to sing a duet with golfer Tiger Woods for a fake charity event to be held at Dion's purported club. In reality, the venue is a well-known Montreal strip joint. Replied Spears, good-naturedly: "Oh, I would so be interested, oh my goodness, definitely. When do you all want to do it?"

DIDDY DECLARES: That Sean 'P. Diddy' Combs is one strict host. For his MTV Video Music Awards post-party at New York's Cipriani restaurant Thursday night, the rap mogul, 31, issued a very stringent list of rules and regulations for how guests should present themselves. The New York Post has reprinted the jaw-dropping dictate from Diddy, which declares outright, "The Dress Code Must Be Respected!" Among the party pointers: "If your shoes are scuffed you're going to have a problem. If you're wearing jeans you're on the wrong track." By way of guidance, the host posited, "Think the person you marry is inside."

DIANA TRIBUTE: With this weekend's fifth anniversary of the death of Princess Diana, attention has turned to her two memorials -- one official and one not -- in Paris, the city where she and her companion Dodi Fayed and chauffeur Henri Paul died in a high-speed car crash in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel. Her official memorial, the Associated Press reported, is hidden in a quiet corner of the City of Lights, in a picturesque yet overgrown French garden. But the garden attracts few of the Diana devoted, who instead flock to a de facto shrine that stands above the tunnel entrance where she was killed. In preparation for this weekend, that site's gleaming "Flame of Liberty" torch has been shined up -- and had steel barriers put around it, to keep visitors wanting to toss flowers and apply messages at arm's length.

SERENA SUITED: Serena Williams is the new look of tennis -- and that fact has caused some jaws to drop. The champ -- and the younger sister of Venus Williams, 22 -- caused quite a stir Monday at the opening of the U.S. Open in Forest Hills, N.Y. There were no tennis whites for Williams, 20, who made her way onto Arthur Ashe court in a shorts-legged, all-in-one, black leather-look, skin-tight outfit with little prom-dress touches: pink wristbands and a diamond tiara. The fun and exciting player acknowledged to Reuters that her sexy outfit may not be to everyone's liking: "If you don't have a decent shape," she said, "this isn't the best outfit to have."

'PIE'-FACED: "American Pie" actress Natasha Lyonne pleaded guilty this week to a drunken driving charge stemming from a crash of a rental car in Miami Beach last year, reported the Associated Press. Under a plea agreement, Lyonne, 23, will have her driver's license suspended and her car impounded for 10 days, state attorney's office spokesman Ed Griffith said. She also was fined $255 and sentenced to six months probation and 50 hours of community service.
