Eminem's Tour Bus Goes Up in Flames
Just call it the Up In Smoke tour, part two: One of Eminem's tour buses was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon.
Friction from a flat tire caused a motorcoach belonging to the rapper's Anger Management tour to catch fire on a Michigan highway, fire officials tell the Associated Press.
The blaze occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 94 in Washtenaw County. Pittsfield Township Fire Sgt. John Maguire says that by the time fire trucks arrived, the bus was already lost to the flames.
Maguire says the bus driver, who was not injured, was alone on the bus at the time of the accident.
The bus, believed to be reserved for Eminem's managers, reportedly was en route to meet the tour at a scheduled performance, Maguire added. The Anger Management tour, featuring Eminem along with acts such as Papa Roach and Ludacris, concluded Sunday night at the Palace in Auburn Hills, Mich.
Three fire departments worked to extinguish the blaze, with crews remaining on hand for about three hours, the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety said in a statement.
