Seinfeld Baby No. 2 On the Way

Jerry Seinfeld's adding another baby to his domain. The funnyguy, 48, and wife, Jessica, 31, are expecting their second child, due early next spring, a spokesman for the comic confirms to PEOPLE.com. The Seinfeld clan is growing rapidly: The couple's first child, Sascha, was born on Election Day in November 2000, some 11 months after the Seinfelds' December 1999 wedding. (The bride, the former Jessica Sklar, was a public relations executive who left her husband of just a few months for Seinfeld in late 1998.) As PEOPLE reported at the time of Sascha's birth, the baby quickly showed that she could handle herself in front of an audience. "When I called him that morning, she was crying," said comedian George Wallace, best man at Seinfeld's wedding. "But when I got there and held the baby, she didn't cry at all." Since then, the elder Seinfeld has incorporated parenting into his stand-up comedy, and earlier this year, the proud papa announced plans to publish a Halloween children's book, reportedly due out in September from Little, Brown Children's Books. (Little, Brown, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner.) Linda Magram, vice president of marketing at Little, Brown, told USA Today that the book, which concerns "a little Jerry" going trick or treating, is "hilarious."
