Crime Spree: Bjork Burgled in London
The Icelandic singer now joins the list of thieves' targets that has included supermodel Elle Macpherson, singer George Michael and ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.

As a reputed crime wave hits London, the latest victim appears to be Bjork, whose home in the upscale Maida Vale area was reportedly burgled Friday night while she was asleep.
According to the London Evening Standard, the thieves reportedly got away with expensive audio equipment.
"I don't want to make any comment about the burglary. It's a private matter," the Icelandic singer, remembered for wearing a swan dress to the Oscars last year, told the newspaper.
Bjork, 36, shares the home with her American boyfriend, Matthew Barney, and is pregnant with his child. (The baby, due later this month, will be her second; her first is teenage son Sindri, from her marriage to Thor Eldon, a member of her former band the Sugarcubes.)
Scotland Yard confirmed to Reuters that it had been called to investigate a burglary in Maida Vale but declined to give further details.
Even so, the crime statistics, especially those involving celebrities, are piling up in London, once considered a civil and safe haven when compared to New York and Los Angeles.
During the past two years, thieves have reportedly made victims out of British residents Elle Macpherson, George Michael and former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell.
In March of this year, would-be robbers attempted to grab a diamond necklace off Liza Minnelli while her car was stopped at a London traffic light.
