This weekend provided a good workout for Tea Leoni -- and for a good cause.
The Associated Press reports that the "Jurassic Park III" actress, 36, took a brief time-out from her 3-month old son and 3-year-old daughter with hubby and ex-"X-Files" star David Duchovny to take a hike for breast cancer research.
"My new goal is that when my daughter is my age, breast cancer will be just something that she can talk about to her kids from history books," Leoni tells the news service.
She said it wasn't easy finishing the hike through several miles of the Santa Monica Mountains (behind Malibu), but that didn't matter, given that she wanted to contribute to the fight against breast cancer, because she knows so many women with the disease.
The hike specifically benefited the Expedition Inspiration Fund for Breast Cancer Research.
Leoni -- who's been married to Duchovny, 41, since 1997 -- also said that she went so far as to autograph a bra because proceeds from the undergarment's auction item would help the cause.
"However creative we can be to finding a cure, let's do it," she said.
