Full Moon Will Turn Jolie into Werewolf

Angelina Jolie is going the Lon Chaney Jr. route.

Variety reports that the actress, 27, is preparing to howl at the moon in "Bitten," a movie about a female werewolf based on a novel by Kelley Armstrong.

The role will call for the "Girl, Interrupted" Oscar winner to get bitten and then turn into a woman-beast that lives among a clandestine wolf pack in Canada. Ultimately, says the trade paper, she "decides to suppress her animalistic tendencies for a normal human life, becomes a journalist and falls in love."

No word on whether or not there's a happy ending.

Jolie has recently been working on "Tomb Raider 2: Cradle of Life," a sequel to her earlier "Lara Croft Tomb Raider" movie. Last month she also legally changed her name from Angelina Jolie Voight to, simply, Angelina Jolie.

She had filed her request on July 3 in Santa Monica court, citing a desire to match her legal name with her professional one, according to court documents.

Jolie also had been publicly feuding with her father, Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight, 63. Voight has blamed his lifelong strained relations with Jolie to his having abandoned the family when his daughter was less than a year old. Jolie's mother is former actress Marcheline Bertrand.
