The driver who allegedly struck an 'N Sync fan outside a radio station while she was waiting to get a peek at Justin Timberlake has pleaded not guilty to her murder, the Associated Press reports.

Cameron Albert Duty, 23, is charged in the Sept. 9 death of Anna White, 21, of Bellevue, Wash., who was killed while she was standing on a sidewalk outside the Burbank, Calif., studios of KIIS-FM. According to police reports, Duty's pickup truck struck her while the vehicle was going in reverse.

On Thursday, says AP, Duty entered his plea of not guilty. He remains behind bars on $1 million bail and was ordered to return to Pasadena Superior Court on Oct. 29 to set a preliminary hearing date.

Earlier this week, Timberlake, 21, announced that, in reaction to the Sept. 9 tragedy, he will write, produce and serve as spokesman for public service radio and TV ads on behalf of Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving (RADD).

His intention is to raise awareness among young people of the dangers of drinking and driving.

"The senseless death of Anna White yet again demonstrates the horrors of drunk driving," Timberlake said in a statement. "I can only hope that partnering with RADD will raise awareness and convince others never to drive after they've had even a few drinks."
