Jennifer Garner Admits to a Slow Start
The Emmy-nominated "Alias" star loves to procrastinate, she admits to students at her Ohio alma mater, where she'd like to study all over again.

Speaking at her alma mater of Ohio's Denison University this weekend, "Alias" star Jennifer Garner, 30, admitted that she took her time choosing her words -- not to be more careful about what she was about to say, but because she tends to procrastinate.
"If I've agreed to give a speech to a million people, I put it off until the plane ride," Garner, Class of '94, told the crowd, according to the Associated Press. "I have nothing to teach you. I'm jealous of all of you. I would love nothing more than to stop time and do college over again."
As it so happens, her drama teacher Jon Farris tells the news service that Garner, who scored an Emmy nomination for outstanding actress in a drama series, was the best student he's ever had.
"Not the most talented, but nobody knew how to work the way she knew how to work," he said. "We noticed that from the first week she was on campus. ... She had a real aptitude for learning the craft of acting."
In other academic news, "An Officer and a Gentleman" costar David Keith, 48, has returned to his hometown to teach filmmaking at University of Tennessee, where he got his start in acting, AP reports.
"I had thought about doing an acting seminar but that idea just spun into something much bigger," he said about the course, in which he will guide a dozen students through shooting and producing their own short drama.
