Winona Shoplifting Trial Delayed Again
Both the judge and Ryder's attorney cite scheduling conflicts, pushing the shoplifting trial date back to Oct. 15 or later.

Winona Ryder will have to keep waiting. With both the judge and her own attorney citing a scheduling conflict, the actress's felony shoplifting trial did not begin as scheduled on Monday and instead was pushed back to Oct. 15 or later.
During a brief hearing (which the "Girl, Interrupted" star, 30, did not attend), Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox confirmed the trial would be delayed.
"It has been agreed that this matter will be continued to Oct. 15 for jury trial," Fox said, according to Reuters.
Contrary to speculation about the postponement, Ryder's lawyer told reporters that there are no discussions going on regarding a possible plea deal, CNN reports.
Ryder, who is free on $20,000 bail, stands accused of stealing some $5,000 in clothes and other items from Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills last Dec. 12.
She is charged with felony counts of grand theft, second-degree burglary, vandalism and possession of the prescription drug Oxycodone, for which police say she did not have a prescription. If convicted, she could face up to three years in prison.
Ryder has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
