Osbournes to Host American Music Awards
The MTV stars jump to ABC for Dick Clark's awards show in January; Sharon also sits down with Barbara Walters on the network Friday.

MTV stars Ozzy, Sharon, Kelly and Jack Osbourne will be jumping networks for one night only come Jan. 13, when the offbeat but highly telegenic family hosts the 30th annual American Music Awards, ABC has announced.
The show will air live at 8 p.m. from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Executive producer Dick Clark is already getting the bleep button ready.
"I can't wait to see what Ozzy and the rest of the family have in store for us, and I know the ABC-TV censor is already having dreams, or should I say nightmares, about their live ad-libs," Clark said Monday, according to the Associated Press.
The hosting stint will follow the second phase of Osbourne mania, set to kick off this month when MTV debuts the second season of "The Osbournes" on Nov. 26.
ABC, meanwhile, will also have Sharon, 50, on hand Friday when she sits down with Barbara Walters for a "20/20" interview discussing her current battle with colon cancer.
As for the American Music Awards, the populist ceremony will once again hand out awards for such categories as favorite male and female artist, favorite group, favorite album and favorite new artist, based on votes from the public.
Favorite artists also will be named for Latin music, contemporary inspirational, adult contemporary and alternative music categories, not to mention favorite soundtrack.
The nominations have not yet been announced.
