Just to refresh everyone's memory, there are now two women left looking for love on ABC's reality game show "The Bachelor": Brooke, a college student from Alabama, and Helene, a New Jersey school psychologist.
But while the winner of the taped series won't be announced until the Nov. 20 finale, her name may already have been leaked. (SPOILER ALERT: Do not continue reading if you don't want to know.)
As a result, say reports, the offshore online gaming site BetWWTS.com has suspended wagering on "The Bachelor" after apparently being besieged by bets from Springfield, Mo. -- the hometown of bachelor Aaron Buerge.
And, according to news sources, all the bets are for the same woman: Helene.
Zap2it.com reports that Kyle Fratini, a spokesman for BetWWTS.com, acknowledged that the gambling site received a large number of bets from Springfield within the past week -- all of them on the same woman and all of them for $300, the maximum that BetWWTS.com will allow for a wager.
The site, he added, was receiving applications for new accounts from Springfield at the rate of nine per minute.
Fratini declined, however, to name the woman who was receiving all the wagers, claiming he didn't "want to spoil the show's finale for its viewers."
The winner doesn't seem to be much of a secret for the folks of Springfield. "The Bachelor" producers recently confirmed to PEOPLE that Buerge and the winner have even "been out a few times."
"We did all kinds of security for him," said show creator Mike Fleiss. "So far, so good."
Well, maybe not.
