Rapper-actor Eminem appears to have a golden touch these days.

First, his semi-autobiographical film "8 Mile" took in a staggering $54 million in its first three days of release, topping the box office in its debut weekend. At last week's MTV Europe Music Awards, the man otherwise known as Marshall Bruce Mathers III took home the award for best album, best male singer and best hip-hop artist. And his newest release, the "8 Mile" soundtrack, has topped the Billboard album charts for the last two weeks.

Now, his fame has spilled over to real estate. Bidding has hit $1.1 million on a modest 1,300-square-foot house in Warren, Mich., that is said to be one of the star's boyhood homes. The home, appraised at $91,000, opened bidding on eBay last week at $120,000, the Associated Press reports.

"Sure, some of the bids could just be people showboating, but you have to figure with that number of people, some have to be legitimate," real estate developer Roland Fraschetti tells the local Macomb Daily.

Eminem's uncle, Todd Nelson, recently sold the house to Fraschetti and lawyer Sebastian Lucido for $45,000, the AP reports. Fraschetti said the home, which has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and hardwood floors, was built in 1940 and has been in Eminem's family for at least 50 years.

Bids on the house will be accepted until Dec. 14.
