One might think that the wife of big-screen he-man Arnold Schwarzenegger would have nothing to fear from strange men -- but one would be wrong.

Kennedy scion and journalist Maria Shriver, 47, has obtained a restraining order against a man she claims is stalking her, reports Reuters.

In a note Shriver wrote to a California judge, Schwarzenegger's wife of 17 years tells the court that the man -- identified as Bruce Fiorani -- has been calling her for about a year, claiming to be a high-school friend.

At one point, Fiorani allegedly asked to be picked up from Los Angeles International Airport; he has also claimed to be have been married to her, and has tried to get into the studios of NBC, where Shriver works, as well as its Los Angeles affiliate, KNBC.

Shriver, a contributing editor on "Dateline NBC," is the only daughter of Peace Corps director and vice presidential candidate Sargent Shriver and his wife Eunice Kennedy; she began her career as a news writer for KYW-TV in Philadelphia in 1977.

A Los Angeles judge granted the restraining order against Fiorani back in August, and it was served against him earlier this month, Reuters reports.
