CBS and NBC continued their usual fight for the top spot in the ratings last week, with the former snagging an average of 12.07 million viewers while the latter drew 12.04 million, according to Nielsen Media Research.

That perennial favorite, CBS's "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," was the week's most popular show (25.9 million viewers), while NBC's "ER" was second (22.7 million).

ABC, meanwhile, may have a winner in "Extreme Makeover," a show that took three people and drastically changed their physical appearances through cosmetic and surgical means. Placed in the same Wednesday timeslot previously occupied by "The Bachelor," the show finished in the Top 20 with 13.2 million viewers.

The network has already scheduled a rerun of "Makeover" for Wednesday and is considering bringing it back either as a special or a regular series, the New York Post reports.

Overall, ABC averaged 9.1 million viewers, followed by FOX with 8.4 million. The WB had 3.7 million and UPN, 3.2 million.
