PASSAGES: Claudia Schiffer Has Baby Boy

DELIVERED: German supermodel Claudia Schiffer, 32, gave birth to a 7 lb. baby boy by Caesarian section on Thursday, her spokeswoman tells Reuters. The baby is the first for both Schiffer, 32, and her husband since May, British film producer Matthew Vaughn, who was at her side in London's exclusive Portland Hospital for the birth. The spokeswoman says there's no immediate announcement of a name, but both mother and baby are doing very well and the parents are "thrilled."
TREATED: Sadie Frost, 34, the actress-wife of screen star Jude Law, has been in London's $1,600-a-night Cromwell Hospital since last weekend, suffering from severe postnatal depression following the premature birth of their third child, Rudy, in September, the Associated Press reports. In a statement, Law, 30, said: "This depression ... has left Sadie feeling very sad and run down and she is just trying to get a handle on it. She has had so much on her plate recently and realizes she needs help and to catch her breath."
ENGAGED: Actress Rena Sofer, 34, who plays Vicki on NBC's "Just Shoot Me," and TV director Sanford Bookstaver, 29, plan to wed on May 18, reports PEOPLE. It will be the first marriage for Bookstaver and the second for Sofer, who was previously married to actor Wallace Kurth.
ANNOUNCED: Olympic figure-skating gold medalist Scott Hamilton, 44, and his wife, Tracie Rose Robinson, 33, are expecting their first child in September, according to PEOPLE. The couple wed last December.
WELCOMED: Actress Melina Kanakaredes, 35, who starred on NBC's "Providence," and her husband of 10 years, Peter Constantinides, 36, a chef, welcomed their second child, daughter Karina Eleni, on Jan. 25 in L.A., PEOPLE reports. The tot joins big sister Zoe, 2.
DIED: Halle Berry's father, Jerome Jessie Berry, 68, died at a nursing home in Cleveland on Jan. 24, the Associated Press reports. An Air Force veteran who had been a bus driver for the Bluebird travel lines, Berry had been under care for Parkinson's disease. In published reports, Halle Berry, 36, has said she was estranged from her father since her childhood.
