Eminem in Michigan Housing Sales Slump
The rapper's former home received a $99.9 million bid on eBay, but the bidder has withdrawn his offer; A $20 million offer also is expected to collapse.

Something's rotten in Detroit.
The 5,000-square-foot colonial house where Eminem once lived went on eBay last month and drew an initial bid of $600,000.
Then, someone stood up to the plate and offered $99.9 million -- only to back out of the deal, leaving the house (which has a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi, as any $100 million house should) to the next-highest bidder.
And according to the Detroit News, that guy will probably back out, too. That bid was for $20 million.
Eminem lived in the modest abode from 1998-2000, but sold it for $475,000 when fans started stealing his mailbox and leaving M&M candy wrappers on his lawn.
The first suitor told current owner Darren Martens that "he talked to his bank, and they wouldn't let him borrow that much," said Martens, explaining that he put the house up for auction "more or less for a joke" after he heard about another Eminem house, in Warren, Mich., that was offered on eBay.
That house has drawn bids as high as $13 million.
"We think we have some real bona fide offers at $2 million," Martens said.
And there's apparently more where that came from. The News goes on to say that a third former Eminem house, in Detroit, also is on the eBay auction block, starting with an opening bid of $500,000.
So far, no one's raised a hand for it.
