Nicole Kidman is getting Barbra Streisand's former mother.
Screen legend Lauren Bacall -- who earned an Oscar nomination for playing Streisand's domineering mom in the otherwise forgettable 1996 "The Mirror has Two Faces" -- is about play the mother of Kidman in the upcoming movie "Birth," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The movie, set in Manhattan and due to begin filming early next year, is described as a dramatic mystery to be directed by Jonathan Glazer ("Sexy Beast"). It's about a 10-year-old boy who falls in love with an older woman, to be played by Kidman, who is convinced the boy is her late husband -- reincarnated.
The movie, which will costar Danny Huston as Kidman's fiance, will also mark the second time that the "Moulin Rouge" star, 35, and Bacall, 78, have teamed up.
They are also due to be seen next year in Danish director Lars von Trier's '30s period drama, set in the Rocky Mountains, "Dogville," also starring Chloe Sevigny, James Caan and Patricia Clarkson.
