Sharon Osbourne, like that other matriarch, Queen Elizabeth, addressed Great Britain on Christmas Day.
Osbourne's words are being called a hit, reports the BBC. The queen seems to have done all right, too.
Queen Elizabeth, 76, as might have been expected, held to tradition and talked up what happened this year, including the high points (her Golden Jubilee) and the low (the deaths of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret). She thanked her loyal public for supporting her through the difficult times.
Osbourne was, uh, less traditional.
Speaking of her family, Osbourne, 50, said it had been a "rollercoaster year" since their MTV show, "The Osbournes," made them all a household name.
She also spoke about being diagnosed with cancer and how it had been a "bittersweet" year for her family, though the ordeal did provide her with the meat of her Christmas message.
"It's the one time that is so important that family are together and just give each other a big kiss," she said.
Still, being an Osbourne, Sharon got in a zinger aimed at Queen Elizabeth, notes the BBC.
Speaking of the monarch, Sharon observed: "She was very warm and amazingly down-to-earth, and I just told her that she had great tits, 'cause she does."
