Grammy-winning R&B star R. Kelly, 34, was arrested in Miami Tuesday night on new child pornography charges, after investigators said they discovered 12 photographs of a nude girl in one of his central Florida summer homes, the Miami Herald reports.
Kelly, whose first name is Robert, was apparently filming a video for his new song "Ignition," and was taken into custody by Miami-Dade Police at Coconut Grove's Grand Bay Hotel.
The Associated Press reports that the musician was held at the county jail before being released on $12,000 bail.
Last June, Kelly was arrested in Chicago on 21 counts of child pornography. The indictment came four months after the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper received a videotape, sent anonymously and eventually turned over to law enforcement authorities, who said the tape was of Kelly having sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Kelly, who also resides near Chicago, denied the charges related to that tape and insisted that it's not him in the video. His attorney also said that the "young lady" in the video was an adult.
Wednesday's charges reportedly stem from that investigation.
Kelly's hits range from the gospel-like "I Believe I Can Fly" to such sexually charged material as "Bump 'n' Grind," "Feelin' On Yo Booty" and "Your Body's Callin'."
