Fans Lay Down the Law for the Next 007
In a poll of film goers, Jude Law is named the top choice to replace Pierce Brosnan in the role of James Bond -- not that Brosnan is leaving anytime soon.

The name is Law. Jude Law.
Some James Bond fans apparently think that has a nice ring to it, according to a new survey, Reuters reports.
The sexy star of "The Talented Mr. Ripley" and "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" topped a poll of film fans searching for the next incarnation of secret agent 007 -- who, to date, has been played by five actors in the MGM/UA series: Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and, for the past four movies, Pierce Brosnan.
Of course, current spymaster Brosnan, 49, isn't in any rush to vacate the role -- he's already onboard for at least one more installment of the franchise following last Thanksgiving's "Die Another Day," which was one of the biggest moneymakers in the history of the 40-year-old series.
But Law, 30, attracted more than a quarter of votes in the Total Film magazine survey, finishing just ahead of "Star Wars" actor Ewan McGregor, 31 -- who, like arguably the best Bond, Connery, is Scottish.
"I think Jude Law has that upper class, debonair sophistication about him that people associate with James Bond," Total Film editor Matt Mueller tells Reuters. "More so than Ewan McGregor and Christian Bale, who came close."
"American Psycho" star Bale finished third in Monday's poll, followed by English actor Clive Owen. Hugh Grant nabbed a mere 2 percent of votes.
