PASSAGES: Hatcher Files for Divorce
SPLIT: Former "Lois & Clark " star Teri Hatcher, 38, filed for divorce from her husband of nearly nine years, actor Jon Tenney, 41 ("You Can Count On Me"), in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences, reports Reuters. The couple have agreed to share custody of their daughter, Emerson Rose, 5, who will live with Hatcher, according to court papers. The two were wed in May 1994 and separated on Jan. 17, the filing said.
NOMINATED: Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Kylie Minogue are among the nominees for the second annual American Dance Music Awards, to be presented March 19 in Miami, reports the Associated Press. Lopez, Timberlake and Madonna are in the running for best chart act, along with Angie Stone and Mariah Carey. The award honors mainstream stars who produced dance music.
RELEASED: Bridget Fonda, 39, is recovering at her Los Angeles home after being hospitalized with a back injury from a car crash late last week, reports AP. Her publicist, Nancy Seltzer, said Monday that the "Single White Female" actress "suffered a slight fracture of two thoracic vertebrae," and was expected to make a total recovery.
REDUCED: A $11.2 million judgment awarded by a jury to an employee who sued New York hotel owner Leona Helmsley (dubbed "The Queen of Mean") in a gay-bias suit was slashed in a New York state court Tuesday, reports The New York Times. Former employee Charles Bell is now to receive only $554,000 from Helmsley, though she says she'll appeal that. Bell, after his jury victory, went on the "Today" show and said he intended to give some of his new-found fortune to charity, though he wasn't very clear how much he would give or what charity that would be.
COMPILED: Though he turns 100 on May 29 and is taking it easy this days, indefatigable comedian Bob Hope will publish his best jokes this spring in conjunction with his centenary, according to Hyperion book publishers in New York. "Bob Hope: My Life in Jokes" is being edited by his daughter, Linda Hope, 62, who will also will contribute an introduction. "Nice to know my jokes are still working," the elder Hope said in a statement.
