TV Psychics Claim to Channel Diana

Call it a reality-TV version of "The Twilight Zone."

In a pay-per-view attraction Sunday night that allowed American viewers to witness the "Spirit of Diana," psychics at a London seance attempted to get in touch with the late princess.

During the program, British psychics Craig and Jane Hamilton-Parker claimed Diana sent them several messages, including one saying that she was "having fun" in the afterlife and spending time with Mother Teresa, according to published reports.

The psychics also reported that Diana had intended to marry Dodi Fayed, the Harrods heir with whom she died in a 1997 car crash in Paris.

"Spirit of Diana" will be shown Monday night on Britain's LivingTV, but there will be some trims from its content -- specifically to what are being described as lurid scenes in which the seers attempt to contact the late princess, CNN reports. The edits were made in order to adhere to the taste guidelines set down by the U.K.'s Independent Television Commission, which apparently doesn't cotton to the occult.

"The cuts are more to do with the visual scenes," a spokesman for LivingTV told CNN.

But one scene -- in which the mediums try to detect signals while driving through that fateful Parisian traffic tunnel -- will remain intact.

Among the other "revelations" from the psychics: Diana is watching over her sons, princes William and Harry, from the "other side" and is opposed to a possible war with Iraq. She also reputedly looks kindly upon her ex-husband, Prince Charles, and her former mother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth, despite the difficult times they all shared together during Diana's life.
