Rising star Colin Farrell's good-time ways may have caught up with him, but he doesn't seem to mind.
The Irish-born actor is going to be a father, the Associated Press reports. In an interview with England's ITV1 on Friday, Farrell appeared excited about the prospect as he confirmed reports that he's going to be a dad.
"It's cool," the 26-year-old star said. "I'm chuffed, so over the moon. (The baby's) due in about six months."
Farrell, however, didn't reveal the name of the mother.
The actor plays up his reputation as a ladies' man, and has been linked with a number of women, including Playboy Playmate Nicole Narain, Demi Moore and most recently, pop princess Britney Spears.
Spears and Farrell turned up arm-in-arm in January at the Hollywood premiere of "The Recruit," starring Farrell, Al Pacino and Bridget Moynahan. Although cameras caught Farrell and Spears smooching that night, the actor insisted they were just friends.
In addition to "The Recruit" and "Daredevil," Farrell appeared with Tom Cruise in Steven Spielberg's "Minority Report," and he stars in the long-delayed "Phone Booth" with Kiefer Sutherland, due in theaters April 4.
