GALLOPED: Atswhatimtalknbout almost lived up to his name. The favored thoroughbred racehorse -- owned by Steven Spielberg and fellow filmmaker Gary Ross (who directed the upcoming horse-racing movie "Seabiscuit") -- made his stakes debut in the San Felipe Stakes in Santa Anita, Calif., on Sunday. The horse finished second, ESPN reports.

CAST: Two former stars of NBC dramas are teaming up off-Broadway. "Law & Order" alum Benjamin Bratt is joining "ER"'s Julianna Margulies in "Intrigue With Faye," scheduled to open June 11 at the MCC Theater, Variety reports. Kate Robin, a writer and producer for the hit HBO series "Six Feet Under," wrote the play.

CHARGED: Jaered Andrews, the 24-year-old singer who had a shot at the big time on FOX's "American Idol," may be singing a different song. Andrews, who was kicked off the show in January, is heading to trial following a Nov. 16, 2002, bar fight in which Thomas Blakeley, 39, died. Andrews has been charged with simple assault. He allegedly hit Blakeley, who then fell and hit his head, the Associated Press reports.

DIED: Paul Stojanovich, a producer for the FOX series "Cops," died Saturday when he fell from a cliff overlooking the ocean in Oregon. Stojanovich, 47, was hiking with his fiancee Kim Srowel when he slipped and fell, AP reports.
