There are reports of a new man in Britney Spears's life. Another new man, that is.

Britain's Daily Telegraph and the Scottish Daily Record & Sunday Mail -- fairly reputable sources both -- say the pop princess (who has been linked to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst and "Phone Booth"'s Irish actor Colin Farrell since her breakup with Justin Timberlake last year) is now showering her affections on Phil Maloof.

Who is Phil Maloof? A 36-year-old multi-millionaire businessman whose family holdings include the Sacramento Kings basketball team and Las Vegas's Palms hotel and casino, according to his family's Web site. He is also a former state senator in New Mexico, where he was a quarterback at that state's university.

The Maloof Web site also touts the fact that the young scion was tough on crime during his career as a politico, and was one of the first to promote New Mexico's Three Strikes, You're Out law.

As for what he's doing with Spears, 21, the Record has them recently sharing a candlelit dinner in Vegas's exclusive N9NE steakhouse before they moved on to a club at the nearby Mandalay Bay, where they reportedly danced most of the night away.

There has been no comment from the Spears or Maloof camps on the stories.
