Los Angeles police are investigating an alleged scuffle between Sharon Osbourne and Hollywood agent Renee Tab -- who have been at odds since January after the ICM agent won a $15,000 Asprey jeweler's diamond necklace at the Osbournes' anniversary party.
Sharon Osbourne, 50, has always claimed Tab was an uninvited guest and was therefore not entitled to the prize. The Osbournes also reportedly complained to police about Tab, but that issue was apparently tabled.
Until now. Sharon, Ozzy and son Jack were dining at the Koi Japanese restaurant Thursday night when the alleged fight occurred, police Sgt. John Pasquariello tells the Associated Press.
Sharon allegedly confronted Tab and "started spitting on her and calling her names," said the agent's attorney, Nejila K. Brent.
The Osbournes' spokeswoman, Lisa Vega, issued a statement saying that Sharon had been "viciously assaulted" and was treated at a hospital for injuries. Vega reportedly refused to characterize the injuries when AP pressed for details.
Tab's lawyer, Najila Brink, tells New York's Daily News that Osbourne delivered the first blow while Tab was exiting the restaurant.
Should any charges be filed, Pasquariello said, they will likely be "on the low end of the misdemeanor scale."
