Hillary's Book to Rewrite 'History'

Hillary Rodham Clinton finally has a date. A publishing date, that is.
The former first lady and current junior U.S. senator from New York, 55, will publish her long-awaited memoir, "Living History," on June 9, reports The Washington Post. She was paid an $8 million advance for the work.
The first printing is due to have a run of 1 million copies, her publisher, Simon & Schuster, announced Monday in New York. There will be no review copies made available in advance, say news reports, and, so far, no one is answering any questions about what is contained in Clinton's 570 pages.
The most-asked question, it appears, is whether the book will deal with Bill Clinton's notorious dalliances, including the one with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky.
Attorney Robert Barnett, who represents both Clintons in their literary affairs, tells The Post:, "People will just have to read the book, but I can tell you it is a complete and candid account."
Bill Clinton has a multimillion-dollar advance from Alfred A. Knopf to do his book, though he's reportedly dragging his heels about sitting down at the keyboard. Still, The Post reports that his book is expected to be published in fall 2004.
In a statement, Sen. Clinton said of her book (which will retail for $28): "It's called 'Living History' because I was very privileged to live history in the White House for eight years. It's about those White House years; it's not about me being a senator. There will be probably a hundred million different ways to see it because obviously it was a challenging time for our country."
