Wills May Consider Move to New York

Part of New York City (well, Brooklyn) is located in King's County, and never has the name seemed more appropriate: A British tabloid has reported that Prince William is considering a move to the Big Apple once he gets his university degree.

Furthermore, reports the Associated Press, the Palace did not deny the report -- entirely.

The Sunday Mirror reported that William, who turns 21 next month, plans to seek a postgraduate degree at an American college, or else a job with a U.S. art auction house or gallery.

William is due to graduate from St. Andrew's University in Scotland, where he is majoring in history of art and geography, in the summer of 2005.

Traditionally, the royal princes graduate and then hook up with the armed forces. This was the route of Charles (William's father), and Wills's younger brother, Harry, who has already stated that he plans to join the army when his time comes.

William (second in line to the throne after Charles) was reportedly influenced by his cousin, Lady Gabriella Windsor, to consider a different route. Windsor is currently cracking the books at Brown University in Rhode Island (alma mater of John Kennedy Jr.).

A spokesman for St. James' Palace, the office of William's father Prince Charles, did not deny the report Sunday but stressed that a final decision about William's future had yet to been made.

"He has two years left at university. Anything about what he might do then is pure speculation," the spokesman told AP.
